Be careful when trying to trade the news. Many brokers stop trading around news time because they lose money while trading against you. The brokers that do not trade against you widen their spreads. So you are at a disadvantage at these times.
One way that levels the playing field, when trading the news with a broker that widens the spreads, is to wait until the spreads come back close to normal. This is a sign that the market knows which way it is going. Then look for a signal from your indicators to enter the market.
I see many beginners lose a lot of money trying to trade the news. There are only a small % of traders that make money on a regular basis trading the news. There are systems that work for a while then fail because it is costing the brokers and banks money. The systems are banned by the brokers and or banks and lose much of there effectiveness.
If you watch your charts and the overall trend, the news is a momentary break in the big trend and usually comes back in line with the overall trend and continues with the trend. This can take a few hours or up to a day to come back in line.
